The Wex at its Best
I visited the Wex this week and saw this really awesome piece called Peonies, by Diana Thater. It's basically this wall of 9 TVs that shows a video of peonies blossoming. It was a very interesting take on nature, as one would assume that it's solely a clip of beautiful flowers. However, it is clear that the artist is trying to convey to her audience that nature is ever changing and impossible to truly capture in one second. I especially liked the fact that there were 9 monitors, as if almost symbolizing that each screen were a representation of the differences in nature

I think this was an astute interpretation of the piece. Do you go to the Wexner a lot?
